PHNIX pool heat pumps include i-GreenLine, i-ForceLine, i-ExpertLine, EasyLine and MegaLine, with names such as Ultra, Pro and Neo within the ranges. The differences extend beyond heating capacity: controls, airflow arrangements and the type of pool also matter.
Start by matching a product family to how you use your pool. Then choose a model with enough heating capacity for those conditions.
Start with how you want to use the pool
Establish four things: whether this is a home or commercial pool; summer-only use or a longer swimming season; pool volume and cover use; and whether the equipment will sit near bedrooms or neighbors.
For summer use, compare suitable equipment and the installed price. For spring and autumn swimming, look closely at heat output in cooler weather. Hotels and public pools also need to consider sustained demand, centralized management and maintenance access.
PHNIX pool heat pump ranges at a glance
| Range / product | Key features and configurations | What to compare |
|---|---|---|
| i-GreenLine | R290; Ultra, Pro and Neo emphasize AI Full Inverter control, with different equipment-protection, control and compact-design features | Features included in the exact model and local version |
| i-ForceLine | R32 full inverter; Ultra, Pro, Neo and Mix versions | The combination of efficiency, controls and installation layout |
| i-ExpertLine Iron | R32 full inverter, sheet-metal cabinet, rear air intake and dual-side discharge | Available airflow and maintenance space |
| EasyLine H / E / M | H, E and M differ in controls, refrigerant versions and appearance options | The required heating duty, supplied features and quotation |
| SuperMini | A compact product designed for above-ground pool heating | Pool size, season and warm-up requirements |
| MegaLine H / V | Commercial pool products; H is full inverter, V is fixed-frequency/on-off | Project load, control integration and operating arrangements |
| i-SpaLine | A spa-focused full-inverter product with EVI and an RS485 control connection | Required water temperature, cold-weather capacity and spa-controller compatibility |
Ultra, Pro and Neo are version names within product families, rather than a universal grading system across the catalog. Choose the application first.
Residential inverter choices: i-GreenLine and i-ForceLine
Both families offer inverter models. The clearest starting distinction is refrigerant: i-GreenLine uses R290, while i-ForceLine uses R32. Continue to the individual version, because refrigerant alone does not establish efficiency, quietness or suitability.
| Version | Key features and configurations | A useful reason to compare it |
|---|---|---|
| i-GreenLine Ultra | Low-temperature heater provisions, R290 leak detection, potted control board and PV Ready | Interest in R290, cooler-season use and equipment-protection features |
| i-GreenLine Pro | AI Smart Grid electricity-price response, AI Wi-Fi and aluminum-alloy casing | Price-responsive control and remote management; confirm local data and feature support |
| i-GreenLine Neo | Compact design, casing options, potted board and smart connectivity | Comparing size, features and quotations within the R290 family |
| i-ForceLine Ultra | Five-inch wired touchscreen, PV Ready, IoT connectivity and optional Boost | Prioritizing the interface, energy coordination and optional functions |
| i-ForceLine Pro | Noise-reduction structure, maintenance design and available 4G-DTU remote service | Everyday operation, service access and remote support |
| i-ForceLine Neo | R32 full inverter, pool heating/cooling and app control | Matching everyday features before comparing like-for-like performance and price |
For example, the i-ForceLine Ultra specification lists SCOP 9.54 for Ultra-050 under the EN 17645 pool assessment. It belongs to that model, rather than every unit in the family. Compare models under the same seasonal assessment conditions; our team can help you identify the relevant data. Our COP and SCOP guide explains how to read the figures.
If you are choosing between Ultra and Pro, request a quotation through the relevant product page. Share your pool size, swimming season and preferred features, and our team can help compare suitable models and quote the configuration you need.
Compare Mix and Iron when the installation layout matters
i-ForceLine Mix has vertical air discharge, making it worth considering where an upward-discharge layout is being evaluated. i-ExpertLine Iron uses a rear air intake and dual-side discharge, offering a different arrangement to assess where side discharge paths are available.
Both still require the clearances in the applicable installation manual. Flexible positioning does not mean a unit can be enclosed, pushed against a wall or installed with arbitrary airflow gaps. Have the installer check the location before ordering.
Everyday heating, above-ground pools, spas and commercial pools
Everyday heating: compare the EasyLine configurations
Start with EasyLine if your priority is meeting everyday pool-heating needs. EasyLine H offers Wi-Fi, an RS485 interface and a titanium heat exchanger. EasyLine E offers an LED display, Bluetooth and R32/R410A refrigerant versions. EasyLine M uses R32 and offers appearance options and a choice of displays.
Controls, connectivity and refrigerant versions differ across EasyLine models. Contact us through the relevant product page so we can confirm the model, factory refrigerant version and included features for your market, and provide a quotation.
Above-ground pools: start with SuperMini
SuperMini is our compact product designed for above-ground pool heating, with intelligent defrosting and Bluetooth app control. It is a useful starting point when compact equipment is a priority; the model still needs enough capacity for the pool and season.
Spas: check water temperature and control compatibility
i-SpaLine is designed for spa use, with EVI low-temperature technology and an RS485 control interface. Check the required water temperature, available heating output in cold weather and compatibility with the existing spa controller.
Hotels and public pools: compare MegaLine H and V
MegaLine H is our full-inverter commercial pool heat pump, with Modbus/RS485 centralized control, operating data and fault-record management. MegaLine V is a fixed-frequency commercial product with centralized control.
For a commercial project, compare load variation, equipment numbers, management and maintenance arrangements before choosing inverter or fixed-frequency operation. A larger domestic unit is not automatically the right solution.
Narrow the shortlist by your priorities
Summer use at home: Once capacity and installation requirements are satisfied, compare EasyLine and i-ForceLine Neo configurations and installed quotations.
Spring and autumn swimming: Include i-GreenLine Ultra and i-ForceLine Ultra in the comparison, checking capacity, COP and defrost-related provisions at relevant lower air temperatures.
Home energy coordination: Compare i-GreenLine Pro’s price-response function or the PV Ready features of i-GreenLine Ultra and i-ForceLine Ultra. Contact us to confirm regional availability, supporting equipment and communication requirements for your energy system.
A restricted installation area: Ask the installer to assess Mix’s vertical discharge against Iron’s dual-side layout before choosing the unit.
Bedrooms or neighbors nearby: Request noise data at the same distance and comparable output and operating mode. Headline minimum sound levels do not establish a fair quietness ranking.
A hotel, public pool or spa: Start from the project requirements and assess MegaLine or i-SpaLine accordingly.
These are starting points for a shortlist. Extending the season does not mean year-round swimming in every climate. A unit’s ability to operate at a low temperature does not establish that it can meet the pool’s entire heat demand there.
Choose the capacity within the series
Product families typically offer several capacity sizes. Go beyond the suggested pool-volume figure: share your location, swimming months, target temperature, cover use and desired warm-up time with our team.
Two outdoor pools of the same size may need different equipment. One might be used only in summer with a cover at night; the other might stay uncovered and be used into autumn. Their heating requirements can differ.
Compare heating output near the air temperature you expect during use. Maximum warm-weather capacity does not describe cooler-season performance. For a regularly used pool, consider both initial warm-up and ongoing temperature maintenance.
